• The EFA Quintanes school ranks among the highest-scoring institutions in both the male and female categories.
• Student Martí Vilalta, from Vic, qualifies to be part of the team that will represent the State at the European Championship.
• Participants from EFA Quintanes school win 8 of the 30 medals that were at stake.
The students of EFA Quintanes school have concluded their participation in the 2026 National Forestry Championship for Students (CFNE), held this week at CIFP de Coca (Segovia) and promoted by the European association España, with a very positive assessment of their technical performance.
In an edition that brought together 19 teams and 76 participants from 17 educational institutions, EFA Quintanes school demonstrated its consistency by achieving second place in the men’s team classification and second place in the women’s classification. In the overall general team ranking (sum of the male and female teams), the centre finished in third position for the male team and fifth position for the female team.
It is worth noting that this was the first edition with participation of women’s teams, and EFA Quintanes school together with EA Solsonès were the only two schools to present a women’s team; the remaining 19 teams were male or mixed.
Regarding the individual events, the students achieved the following results:
• Martí Vilalta: second place in the overall male ranking, a result that appoints him as a member of the team that will represent the State at the next European Championship.
• Leire Fuenmayor: first place in the felling event and fifth in the overall ranking.
• Guillem Molons: first place in the men’s precision event.
• Bernat Rull: first place in the combined event.
• Lola Paneque: first in precision cutting and second in combined cutting.
• Sergi Avelli: second place in combined and third in precision.
• Nerea Lorenzo: third place in the delimbing event.
These results are the outcome of the students’ effort, the training received at the school and at the internship companies, and the support of collaborating companies. In this regard, EFA Quintanes school would especially like to thank the companies that sponsored participation in this championship, Vicreu and Japan Espais, for their support.
Likewise, the centre highlights the work of teacher Nil Fabregat in the logistical and technical coordination of the entire team, as well as the institutional support of the school’s director, Toni Martorell, in making participation in this event possible.
