European pride, team pride, forestry pride.

The 2026 European Student Forestry Skills Championship (ESCFS) was held from May 19th to 23rd, 2026. The event took place at the Bildungszentrum Litzlhof educational center, located in Litzlhof, Austria.

We are very pleased with our performance. A truly cohesive team where each member contributed their talent and effort to set the bar high!

This year, the team was comprised of a strong representation from 5 leading schools: Montearagón, A.E. Solsonès, La Granja, Malvesía, and ourselves, EFA Quintanes. A truly outstanding team where the future of the sector has proven to be in very good hands!

The group particularly excelled in the demanding Forestry Course, where they competed head-to-head with the major European powers. But in the competition arena, we also witnessed incredible moments from the entire team—a spectacular 193 points in precision cutting with the women’s team! Natxo achieved a flawless undercut of 575 points, and Raúl nearly reached the pinnacle with 191 points in precision, along with Álex’s constant effort with the men’s team! Congratulations to everyone for demonstrating such technique and composure!

As part of this great blog, we at EFA Quintanes are delighted to give a special mention to our two students who had an unforgettable experience:

• Leire (12th in Europe). She was the undisputed leader of the women’s team (Spain Girls). She performed exceptionally well in the precision test, scoring a spectacular 170 points, and also excelled in the chain change (96 points). Despite some bad luck with the delimbing, she has secured a place in the European Top 12, demonstrating great consistency and the makings of a champion!

• Martí (55th in Europe) was the most consistent and highest-scoring competitor of the entire Spanish Boys team. With a total of 1051 points, he excelled in the delimbing test (216 points) and nailed the precision cut (202 points). A demonstration of concentration and high technical skill from start to finish.

We return from Austria with a wealth of knowledge, new international friendships, and the certainty that the training we provide in our classrooms is bearing fruit at the European level.

A very special thank you to all the collaborators who made this possible; they have been an indispensable pillar: Milwaukee Spain, TRBL Maquinaria y Suministros, Solidur1946, Tècnica Forestal, Comercial Forestal, Vicreu, Jardibosc, Gepork, Sobirana Forest, David Puigtió Serfore, David Vinyals Raió, Verd Fosc, Companyia Forestal del Montseny, Treballs Forestals Font, Forestal Francesc Serrano, among many others.
